Add Extras

Snacks, staples, and more

Chips, birthday candles, toilet paper — if it’s on your mind, add it to My List. It gets grouped with everything else, so nothing gets left behind.

Find It Fast

Madeline Petersen

I avoided cooking for years.

I couldn't reconcile how much effort it seemed to require. Surely something so universal couldn't really demand that much skill, planning, and cleanup every single day? Most nights, I opted for takeout.

After extensive investigation, I’m sorry to report that cooking really is as much work as it seems. But here’s the upside: because eating is so frequent, leaning into cooking, even just a little, can be one of the most impactful ways to improve your quality of life. With practice, the best parts start to show up more often: eating exactly what you were craving, feeding the people you love, having your favourite leftovers in the fridge, baking a batch of cookies just because you can.

I built Grosch to make the planning step easier, and that small bit of friction removed was enough to change my habits. I cook more now. It's still not effortless, but it's no longer overwhelming. And the best parts are showing up more often. I hope they do for you too.
